What to feed your baby when they won’t eat anything

Alphabet Pasta Plate:

This pasta is so cute and fun for kids. You can find online or at specialty stores. But any pasta will do! I just add 2 tablespoons of tomato pasta, 2 tablespoons of butter and 2 tablespoons of milk to 2 cups cooked pasta. Stir together on medium heat until mixed together- easy and simple. Posey loves cherry tomatoes. It a great alternative to berries with less sugar but the same texture. Avocado to the rescue always. Full of health fats for brain health and to fill her up!

HACK: The alphabet pasta instantly make sit more fun to eat. Distraction from what it is to how special it is always helps me.

Posey’s Light Tuna Casserole:

Saute 1/4 cup of diced onion in 1 tablespoon of butter for 5-8 minutes. Add in 1/4 cup chopped cherry tomatoes, 1/4 cup steamed and chopped broccoli, and 1/2 a jar or can of Tonnino tuna filets. Mix together on medium heat with 1/2 teaspoon of salt- for about 5 minutes. Next add in 2 cups of cooked pasta- I’m using macaroni. Mix together and add in a drizzle of olive oil. Serve and top with cheddar cheese.

HACK: This is a super fulfilling meal for baby. It sneaks protein and veggies into the pasta. The tuna is full of healthy fats and proteins and so is the cheddar cheese. Posey eats her whole plate of this every time.

Simple Salmon Plate:

Also this is easy for you. In a saucepan add 1 1/2 cups of water and bring to high simmer. Add in 1/2 cup of rice, 1/2 cup of chopped broccoli and 2 oz of salmon along with 1/2 teaspoon of salt and 2 tablespoons of butter. Cover it and let it simmer for 15 minutes. This is a simple, no fuss meal for Posey that she always eats.

Desperate mommy meal:

A damn cheese quesadilla. It get the job done when your tiny gourmet is extra feisty and picky and guess what? Its totally fine. I serve with cottage cheese and cherry tomatoes.

HACK: we eat a lot of cottage cheese in this house. You know why? Its full of protein, ready to go at all time and they love it. Its easy!

French Toast Plate:

Ok call me crazy but french toast is the easiest way to sneak in protein. I let 2 pieces of bread soak in a mixture of 1/4 cup milk and 2 eggs and let it soak ALL of it up. 2 full eggs in “a treat”. No added sugar. just eggs. I serve it with her favorite- strawberries as the “sweet” part and whole milk yogurt for fat.

SUPERFOODS plate:

Ok well this is just some roasted shredded chicken with tomatoes and avocado- BUT I have a superfoods hack. Cook 1/4 cup rice and 1/2 cup diced purple potatoes in 1 cup of water for the healthiest and most fun carb on the plate! Did you know purple potatoes have more antioxidants than blueberries? Purple potatoes are one of the healthiest and best things you can eat.

HACK: ITS PURPLE FOOD! make it fun. make it a treat. make it an special- they will gobble it right up!
