New York Steak Tacos Marinade
New York Steak Tacos Marinade
-
Juice of 2 limes
-
1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
-
3 cloves garlic – chopped
-
1 teaspoon Chile powder
-
1 teaspoon cumin
-
1 teaspoon dried Mexican oregano
-
2 teaspoons salt
-
1 teaspoon pepper
-
1/4 cup fresh cilantro
-
1/4 cup sliced red onion
-
3 tablespoons olive oil
-
New York or skirt steak
-
Mix all the components together with a whisk. Pour the marinade directly over the steak and allow it to marinate for at least 1 hour. I like to use a large ziplock bag so the entire steak is covered in the marinade.
-
After one hour, sear the steak in a cast iron skillet or on the grill. Sear on high heat for 2 minutes on each side. Take off the steak and cover it with a piece of foil for 5 minutes. After five minutes slice the steak into thin strips for your tacos!
I like to top these tacos with a little salsa, sour cream and my marinated onions! Enjoy!
With love + salt.
